Add festive patterns to your walls or bulletin boards. You can find a variety of St. Patrick's Day-themed designs on the internet, or create your own using green and gold construction paper or fabric. Hang shamrocks around the room, or create a St. Patrick's Day banner by stringing together green and gold ribbon or fabric. Add some leprechauns to your décor by hanging cut-outs from the ceiling, placing them on desks or tables, or drawing them on whiteboard/chalkboard backgrounds.
Create St. Patrick’s Day signs using themed letters and numbers, simply cut, stick, and go!
Printable bulletin board borders are a great option for adding that final touch to your classroom. They offer a quick, eco-friendly, low-cost way of decorating your classroom using high-quality, unique designs that elevate the look of your displays past the standard issue teacher supply store options.
You can find individual border designs, themed St. Patrick's Day border packs or, if you want to add extra flair, green glitter effect bulletin borders (without the mess!).

St. Patrick’s Day is a holiday that celebrates Irish culture and heritage. It is celebrated on March 17th every year, and is a popular day for parades and festivals. St. Patrick’s Day is also a popular day for wearing green clothing and accessories, as well as shamrocks and other symbols of Ireland.
While we often celebrate the pop culture aspects of St. Patrick's Day, we can sometimes forget to give students some of the background info on what St. Patrick's Day is, it's history and some of the Irish cultural elements.
A great way to get students interested and engaged with the background of St. Patrick's Day is through a digital activity like the St. Patrick's Day Adventure with Aly. It takes students on a journey to Ireland to learn about the history and culture of the holiday and includes reading comprehension tasks to ensure students understanding of the material.
Another great option to add an extra layer of culture is to listen to traditional Irish music, you can find playlists on places like YouTube or Spotify or go old school and grab a CD!
